Posted by: kyle at September 6, 2006 10:15 PMPerhaps a tad cliche in the current popular consciousness, but I've currently picked up Dave Eggers' "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" and, long overdue, Dave Sedaris's "Naked". Maybe I just have a thing for Daves. Incidentally, Sedaris is coming to speak at the University of Richmond next month, so that'll make for a soft landing whilst riding the Running With Scissors cinema bomb :D

I'm currently reading "Reading Lolita in Tehran". Dry but interesting.
I am reading "The Ruins" by Scott Smith. (author of "A Simple Plan") Nothing like man-eating vegetables.
If you enjoy "The Boy Detective Fails," you might also like "Stranger Things Happen" by Kelly Lynch--a wonderfully unsettling writer.
I'm reading boring, work-related books.
I miss reading for pleasure. :(

I just finished the Kite Runner, which was mostly a waste of time, and now I'm reading Shared Fantasy, by Gary Alan Fine.
