[XXV of TV] ^{10:33 AM}

James Gunn posted a list of his 25 favorite TV characters, and then Joss Whedon posted his. Since I'm waiting for a bunch things to print before I have lunch, here are mine. They're in no particular order and they follow Gunn's Rules:

No puppets or cartoons.
No mini-series.
No reality show people.
All characters must be regulars on the show.

Claire Fischer out of everyone on that show? Really? I think she'd be at the bottom of my list. Not sure who'd be my favorite, though. It changed a lot throughout the show...

my favorites on the show rotated so much as well, that claire was the most consistent. I've literally hated everyone it for at least 7 episodes straight given their storyacs, and when it came to the finale and you saw the show was really about claire, and not nate, my decision was made.

Well, the rule was you had to pick series regulars, so that rules out Lena Olin's (for a while) flawless Irinia Derevco. But, if you think about it, ALIAS was made of stock characters played by some great actors, but none of them, not even Syndey Bristow herself, felt unique. Maybe Sloane, but I hated sloane. The cast was the work of premise, writing, and being a strong-ish ensamble. Then in the final 2 years everything went to shit.
