I knew that Stephen King's semi-routine Entertainment Weekly position would pay off eventually (they print whatever the hell he writes, and sometimes, man, it ain't much) and it is here. They published the first 2 chapters of his new novel Cell, and it appears to be a return to form.
I'm not a Dark Tower boy, I'm a The Mist/The Stand kinda boy, and Cell definitely harkens back to his character-driven my-small-corner-of-the-doomed-world ouvre, only this time with zombies!
I take even greater pleasure in the fact that the official Cell website offers ringtones.
