[the joker, etc.] ^{12:12 PM}

Warner Brothers has released the first official photo of Heath Ledger as the Joker from The Dark Knight (aka Batman Keeps Beginning):

It is friggin scary. Boy doesn't even like looking at it. Can you imagine if there was a real serial killer out there who looked like that? I would be in a self-imposed quarantine until he was caught.

PS: Friends-of-the-blog screened the new Bionic Woman pilot the other night. They were very annoyed by it, and thought it looked cheap, and fell very flat. Like should-be-on-Sci-Fi cheap'n'flat. We talked about the Heroes pilot being lackluster and then finding its legs, but it was pointed out that at least Heroes started out looking pretty.

Other friends-of-the-blog also really enjoyed the Reaper pilot more than they ever thought they would. This FOTB is totally A-list and I trust his judgement on such things implicitly, so I am excited.

Yet more friends-of-the-blog have a copy of Pushing Daisies sitting on their shelf. I am going to try to watch it before Boy, Puppy, and I leave for our cross-country road trip on wednesday.

Have I not told you of our road trip? It is happening and will last a month. For sure stops include: Houston, Nashville, Boston, Cape Cod (where Julie and Blacker are getting hitched), Pittsburgh, DC, Norfolk, Kansas City, and various spots in between.

Before we leave, I am hard at work getting together pitch materials for New Book Agent, so that the gears of progress can grind while I am away.
