[a house undone] 9:45 PM

We are redoing our bathroom.

Slowly but surely over the past few years, Boy has been tinkering with the house, saving it from its past - a dark time when new age artisans painted the hallways red and the bathroom disturbing shades of blue. Hardwood floors have been unearthed, painted archways and doors have been stripped, and they've proved only a minor inconvenience. But a bathroom? Oh, you need a bathroom.

The toilet is still there, and in working order, but the sink is gone, and thanks to retiling and re-finishing the tub, we have no shower. We refinished the kitchen sink, too. Sure they're back to being all white and shiney, but basically the only access to running water we have is the garden hose and the small dispenser in the fridge (an aside: no running water means no cleaning out of paint brushes). We have been taking showers at Lucia's, and until recently were brushing our teeth in the kitchen.

I've been told everything will return to normal by tuesday.

How difficult and expensive was it to re-finish the tub? I need to have that done at my house.

it only took a day to get it done, but 2 days to cure - and it was only a couple'a'hundred dollars, which doesn't seem unreasonable. (but BOY does it SMELL)
