[on the road again] 9:19 PM

After a bizarre week (undulating work duties while Boy was off playing at Race car Island), the holidays are here. Technically Boy isn't in desperate need of a vacation, he spent the last few days racing cars and see one of his absolute favorite singers perform, but I sure need one.

We're taking the scenic route to Denver for Thanksgiving, at the moment we're spending the night in Alburquerque (is that how you spell it?) and then heading north in the morning.

I wound up buying 5 new cd's for the road trip. I can't remember the last time I bought 2 cd's, let alone 5 at once, but I did! They are:
Damien Rice, 9
The Little Ones, Sing Song EP
Matthew Sweet & Susanna Hoffs, Under The Covers, Vol. 1
Shiny Toy Guns, We Are Pilots
and Under The Influence Of Giants.

We also have the all-star audiobook of Max Brooks' World War Z, but we weren't allowed to put that on until after sundown. When it got really creepy being in middle-of-nowhere Arizona.

Coming later this week: poster reviews for Happy Feet, For Your Consideration, and Casino Royale (which I've yet to see).

Also, if you haven't ordered holiday cards yet, you might want to get on it, because after December 1st I shall most likely stop taking orders so I can fill everyone else's in a timely-like fashion!

Yay for Shiny Toy Guns! They recently played in Victoria and were awesome.

I think I like It Starts With One and Le Disko the best.

You can't spell it, but at least you didn't say it was the capital. I hate that crap. Albuquerque.

Just don't make any wrong turns or you'll end up in the tundra and being renamed George... oh forget it.
