[brothers & sister] 12:17 PM

Quite surprisingly, after a DVR-a-thon, Brothers & Sisters has become my favorite new show of the season. It's been so long since I've been so actively involved with the welfare of characters on a network show, it's quite nice.

I also have a giant soft spot for Friday Night Lights, which I hugely ironic since I spent my childhood escaping sports in Texas.

I LOVE Brothers & Sisters! It has gotten so wonderfully good ... I thought I'd hate it because of Calista, but even she doesn't ruin it for me, and I love the gay brother's boyfriend ...

I'm with Will, I thought I'd hate it for CF, and I love the Kevin, the gay brother. I love Rachel Griffin. It is so nice to see a show where people act like real people, fight like real people, and are so imperfect like real people.

I just love how Kevin keeps screwing things up with Scottie. I like that there is so much room for the characters to grow into.

Greg Berlanti, has always done good and consistently interesting work.

Ok, Brothers & Sisters is one of my new favorite shows and I'd like to add that I love Calista Flockhart. :)

Seriously though, Calista, Sally, and Rachel are actually too talented for the show itself. Having those women read those lines is like killing flies with a hammer. it's fun to watch, but you wish the flies were bigger.

But I do think that everything in the show has promise aside from the Gay brother and his boyfriend. Am I the only person who realizes how hopelessly unrealistic their relationship is? They went from disliking one another profesionally to disliking on another personally.... what exactly do they think they have to work with?

B&S has a wealth of acting talent, for sure, but the writing (except for last week's episode) has been so formulaic and disappointing. I hope they turn up the juice on this one, because there really isn't anything else on Sunday to tune in for.

Am I still the only person to wonder why Sally Field isn't in that shot? Are we to assume that she was a recast?

i fell pretty hard for brothers & sisters myself after a DVR-a-thon. i checked out the first episode when it aired and knew that i'd like the show, but i let the next four or five pile up on the DVR. once i started watching the episodes back to back, B&S quickly became my favorite new show of the season. i think that's betty buckley in the picture as the original nora. that's not the current kevin in the picture either.

Betty Buckly was original the matriarch, but thank god they got sally field in there, because she's amazing. I'll give you that the writing has been a bit formulaic, but keep in mind the show has undergone THREE showrunners so far, and it would appear the Greg Berlanti officially kicked in last week.

I spent most of my life avoiding sports in Texas too and I LOVE B&S (though I think Kevin is being a total Ass right now.) correlation?

BTW I love your art. I'm going to buy some as soon as I can.
