Back in California, thank God. I'm so sick of travelling. In fact, at the moment I'm swearing off Comicon, knowing full well I'll be ready to go when the time comes.

My photoshop is on the fritz, perhaps needing to be reinstalled, so until then:

The Devil Wears Prada: The same old song and dance elevated by a great cast. Sure, we all know how its going to play out, infact most of us could have written it. What we could not do, is be Meryl Streep or Ann Hathaway who bring heart (cold and charming) to a by-the-numbers extended episode of Sex and the City (episode 65 to be precise, "A 'Vogue' Idea.") This movie is the reason why the Golden Globes and their "Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy" category exists.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest: Eh. Too much of a good thing run amuck. I could care less about all the characters, even when A kisses B infront of C. This from a boy who curls up in a socially awkward ball of fear during Mean Girls. I just didn't care. Further proof that good special effects don't make a movie, they only up the price tag. I would've preferred a 93 minute version, instead of the aimless convoluted "joy ride" I sat through.

Finished the second (new) season of Doctor Who on the plane last night. Wonderful stuff. Seasons 1 and 2 each are almost easily divided into 6 good episodes, 6 "eh" episodes. Now, Who is aired in 13 episodes plus a Christmas special, so 13 out of 27 isn't so bad (especially considering that Lost averaged about 4 out of 26 from its second season).

Comments San Diego, isn't really traveling from LA. Gosh, in a few years well all just merge into the San Angeles Metro complex. Of course by that time, Taco Bell will be the only restaurant .
