June 13, 2006[three experiments] 7:43 PMI've switched to a gloss gel medium, and I've also taken to coating the entire canvas in it. This is used to eliminate any unwanted "halos," but I'm not quite adept at photographing them yet. They look AMAZING in person though, it keeps the blacks sharp and doesn't muddy any detail. I also played with tearing and crinkling, to varying degrees of success. Comments
They look great. I know they look a little grey when you photograph them, it's tricky with those gloss mediums. But they do make pieces look sharp and pretty.
