So after watching a lame-ass Idol and a delightfully different House, we hop over to Stephen King's Desperation on the DVR. Then we turn it off.

Why?

I think someone at ABC missed a memo about HD programming, because they shot and aired Desperation in standard def 4:3. WTF?

If they can't afford proper film, or at the very least HD tape, what's to make me think they invested anything else into a project? Rose Red and Kingdom Hospital haven't really been showstoppers, and now you take the man down a peg with 4:3? I mean, even 10.5 Apocalypse on NBC was in HD, and some of its effects were on par with Team America: World Police, and not in that charming marionette kinda way.
