Absolutely LOVE your movie reviews... but must take exception to the smack you're laying on THE VILLAGE. It was a great movie... and it's pacing, I thought, was spot-on.

One however cannot fault James Newton Howard's score, no matter how derivitive people say it is of SNOW FALLING ON CEDARS.
WAR OF THE WORLDS, upon a second painful viewing, is absolutely awful.

For me, though, my frustrations with THE VILLAGE were actually integral... for example, the accents. DROVE ME CRAZY! ... and then, when the twist is revealed, their hackneyed accents made SENSE!

That isn't to say Bryce isn't good, she was great in the Village, but I'd rather see her act than pined over :-p
we'll see how LIFE OF PI turns out, and who its handed to.
