Oh, the crazy fickle shifting taste of my television viewing. Bored with Lost and Housewives, over my 5 minute tolerance of Ellen Pompeo, and with Battlestar over and done with until October, I have a new batch of Must See TV:

The Office
Indeed, I am hooked. Season two is where this show really hit its stride, and it literally has gotten better each week. I want to hang out with Jim and Pam.

Sons & Daughters
More accessable than Arrested Development and painfully funny.

The Loop
Look! A sitcom without a laugh track! Who knew Fox would do what CBS wouldn't? Philip Baker Hall is a revelation, and who knew Mimi Rogers was Wendy Malick 2.0?

I really should commend both ABC and FOX for airing S&D and Loop with back to back airings. They're the only guaranteed hours of comedy I can find on network TV.

American Idol
I'm fairly certain that David Radford is already doing gay porn in the Valley, and I'm sure Ace Young isn't far behind him. I'm astonished that (with the exception of Mandisa) everyone elses schtick has worn off. Pickler and Paris have ceased being enjoyable and have now literally turned into vacant puppets overnight. Chris Daughtry will probably have a good career, but not one that I'll listen to.

Veronica Mars
The best written show on television. Blissfully intelligent and wildly hysterical. Thankfully, it seems that Veronica will never run into a problem like The Initiative during her forthcoming freshman year in college.

CSI
Six seasons in and still making it work? Damn.

The Sopranos
I stopped watching after season 3, watched the oft repeated Tony/Carmela smackdown of season 4, and then moved on. Now, somehow I'm back in and loving it.

I should also point out that I enjoyed the pilot to The Unit but have yet to see (or track down) a subsequent episode.
