[to my dismay, my tv shows have gone astray] ^{4:41 PM}

I just got an email that said, "if Lost isn't amazing tonight, I may have to give up." And I agree. The flashbacks have been repeat offenders, Charlie's episode was snooze inducing, and I'm growing to hate Matthew Fox more each week. I was catching up to last week's episode and found myself skimming through Sawyer's flashback, because sadly the past lives of these people prove either uninteresting or painfully parallel to the island story at hand. Need we look further than Eko's plane?

What's even more distressing is that even Battlestar has been floundering, and it couldn't come at a worse time. Just as it appears at Time's number one show of the year, and has a large write-up in Rolling Stone, it delivers two of its weakest installements yet. Some fans, such as myself, know the writing staff doesn't view the seasons as SciFi airs them - they view the show in story arcs with 2 or 3 episodes in between each as padding. Only this time, the padding really blows and I'm unsure as to when the next arc will start up. The passage of time is becoming arbitrary, the character motivations are getting cloudy, then crytal clear, then ignored the next week. And we won't even start talking about this Dualla crap. Seriously, it's amazing how they can make me un-love a character so fast.

Speaking of un-loving a character, lets talk about un-loving an actress. Julie Bowen, who I love, has (in true sophomore season David E. Kelley fashion) tanked Boston Legal. Not even the return of Betty White has gotten me excited.

House, meanwhile, still seems able to air the same plot over and over again and keep me entertained. Hugh Laurie doth deserve any award given to him, because he keeps that ship from sinking.

Am I going to complain about Housewives? Well, I'm not sure, since I haven't seen one in about a month. They're sitting here waiting for me to watch them, but I just can't seem to find the time. I'm very busy, you see.

Yes, its a sad time. Surprisingly both Gilmore Girls and The OC pulled a moppet-kid trick this season and somehow cast the best possible girls and made them non-horrific offenses, and Veronica Mars continues its run of greatness, so I suppose we can be happy for small favors.

A chunk of new pilot scripts landed in my inbox today, and they look quite promising. But many things look promising, or begin in greatness. With Threshold, Surface and Invasion all gone, networks are still trying to find the next Lost, when it seems that the next Lost should be Lost itself.

DONT GIVE UP ON BSG. I absolutely agree it has sucked for the past two episodes but the last three of the season are going to be incredible.

Stop reading here if you dont want a few spoilers...

1. This friday's episode deals with boomer's reincarnation after she got shot for shooting Adama.

2. Then the last two episodes of the season invlove boomer and #6 trying to call a truce with the fleet...a truce that involves the colonists renouncing their Gods and converting to the Cylon religion.
