Looks like a lot of tween TiVo's are about to catch a break. I'll be quite interested to see what makes the cut and what doesn't, and how two networks who have very mixed results (critical darlings and bombs for both) launch a fall season with both old and new programming.
Two permits don't equal a license, but do two netlettes equal a network? Can they deliver a slate? While Mars is still in her prime, I would guess that Gilmore and Smallville only have one or two years left in them (you could argue that Smallville had only one year in it), and the only pilot I've heard of so far is the not-going-to-be-called-Aquaman Aquaman.
For some reason, this merger brings a quote from Poltergeist to mind:
