December 13, 2005[review - pride and prejudice] 11:55 PMOddly enough, the 6 hour BBC version feels shorter than the 2 hour feature film version. Nevertheless, 2005's P&P is a well made film, a slowly-paced adaptation with a varied cast that each gets a moment to shine. Keira Knightley has more than adequately proven she can do more than just act in Pirates of the Caribbean films, Donald Sutherland is scary when he smiles, Matthew MacFadyen has proven there can be a Darcy other than Colin Furth (and that I should keep growing my hair out), and Simon Woods has portrayed a Mr. Bingley so infectious and charming, it almost makes me forgive red-headed boys. You could learn something here, Narnia. You see, I know the plot of this film intricately, and still I anxiously awaited key plot points. Comments
yes. keep growing your hair out. Posted by: Boy at December 14, 2005 3:07 AMKeep your Darcy, with his broody eyes and billowy coated swaggering saunters across smoke-filled plains. Give me BINGLEY, with the peircing eyes glowing skin and boyish charm (... and probably perfect ass). Bingley. Bingley! BINGLEY! Posted by: spriteboy at December 16, 2005 7:30 AMseems to me you're about ready to start calling him Bangley ;) Posted by: kyle at December 16, 2005 10:11 PMPost A Comment
