Who knew Tom Cruise and I had so much in common? Sure we both have brown hair and like sleeping with men, but aside from that? Well apparently we have a website in common: Scientomogy.

While laughing at a flash animation, I blinked and missed something. Former roommate Andrew did not:

Yes, that's the head of Smile Like You Mean It super-imposed on a photo of John Travolta and Kelly Preston's "child."

It's not that I mind things like this. I've been to countless random myspace and livejournal pages and found icons made of my work (which is flattering) and there was the imfamous Gay Frat Gala debacle, all of which is fine. This is the internet and I'm about as far from Lars Ulrich as you can get, I just wish I knew where things were. I don't mind them being there, but I'd like to know.

I think my aim icon at the moment is one of your pics. I'm not at my computer right now and I can't remember which one, but it is.

i'd be annoyed if i were you.

the people using your images for their myspace profiles aren't claiming to be artists. this little guy was pieced into a video that we are lead to believe the creator made himself.

i mean c'mon... if this dude can create a background, a little devil guy and an obease worm, what the hell does he need with your little guy's head?

are we to assume that all of the design elements were lifted from other artists and that the creator himself did nothing more than piece other people's work together?

i still don't know if you should feel raped or flattered. but then again i suppose rape, in any form, is a little flattering.

Your former roommate Andrew is quite the...oh, I don't know the word for it.

I've seen a lot of stuff in the same style as your art on the internet, but nothing actually using your work. I was going to make a LiveJournal layout from your "Defying Gravity" piece ( credited, of course, the image of the layout is here - www.something-useful.net/lj/gravity.jpg" ) but laziness got the best of me, and I vaguely remember seeing a copyright something or other on your website, so I stopped. Don't consider me a thief? ;-(

Well I can't use the layout anymore - my paid time on LiveJournal expired. I'm thinking of transforming it int oa website layout, though. I don't know.

I just feel bad. I can draw slightly similarly to you (I actually practiced off of a few of yours because I love your style so much) and I want to draw my own, I just can't use my tablet with my new computer (blasted compatability). That and I suck at coloring.
