[psychic boy] 2:20 PM

Before we get into this, let me get something clear: I don't like Medium and I think Patricia's Emmy is more peculiar than the events on her show.

That being said, I'm increasingly getting interested in this Medium 3-D sweeps event, which NBC has now announced will be 2 hours in november.

Whyfore the vested interest, you ask (aside from the blatant stunt fun of 3-D)?

A few weeks ago Boy and I came home to see a red tag hanging on the front door, a notification of filming on location in the neighborhood. At first I got excited (boy lives behind the Hyperion Hotel location from Angel), then I realized the Spike TV movie was coming along slowly, so I just read the tag to see it was (sadly) a Medium notice.

A bit disheartening since good filming makes you feel like a nerd, and bad filming just blocks parking spaces and obstructs traffic.

I hadn't given the show much notice again until I read this at TVGuide.com:

The depth-defying episode will now air as a special two-hour event. And regarding the specifics of the plot, exec producer Glenn Gordon Caron tells me that many of the 3-D sequences will take place in an art gallery. "Something will be revealed to [Allison] in the paintings," he explains. "When she looks into them, that triggers the 3-D sequences."

Oddly enough, the day after filming wrapped there was an inordinant amount of canvas artwork on the lawn being loaded into trucks.

This is basically a big long-winded way of me trying to say I might see one of my streets in HD 3-D on TV. And I think that's neat.

Buddy,
You should of taken one or two of your pieces down and mixed them in with the work being loaded on the truck. That might've led to some extra work.

I don't even know where to begin on this one.
