September 24, 2005[exhausted] 10:27 PMso. tired. but good. tomorrow kyle fly home. Just finished the BSG finale. I hated pretty much everything about it, from the score to the plot developments to the complete ignorance of anything involving earth or chains of command aside from Adama/Cain pout-offs. I'm anxious for January just so I can have this stupid new direction taken care of before it gets too retarded. It's like someone greenlit a poorly conceived piece of fanfic. Giant. Mis-step. from an email I sent... it's as if ron moore had run out of gas - after HOME part 2 we got final cut and flight of phoenix, which were decent hours at best, and they felt the need to bring in a nazi-ship, albeit a homage to the original series, to shake things up. it's something that i would have expected in season 4 or 5 of a series, not the finale of season 2, or at the very least not had them become supreme evil beings. to me this is the alan alda/jimmy smits of west wing, or the slayer's in training brought onto buffy. there shoudl be, and is, enough to sustain storylines inside the established universe with a modicum of changes, not the need of bringing in the bizarro mirror universe fleet. the crew and admiral of the pegasus are two-dimensional twirly mustache villains, and unless there's an unbelievalbe twist coming in the next few episodes i'm going to try to just block out the whole thing from my mind. I know you'll hate me for this, but AFAIK that's not the last episode of the season. There's a BSG wiki with spoilers on it... Posted by: David at September 25, 2005 3:08 AMit's a mini season finale. it pulled a 2001 felicity. Posted by: kyle at September 26, 2005 12:51 PMI happened upon this post...I knew I shouldn't have read further! First off - I JUST got introduced to BSG. Watched the entire first season within a week. About to watch episodes 6 - 10 of season 2. What more am I looking to watch? And dood. I am ADDICTED. something I never thought I'd say about a space show. but this one...this one rocks. and yes, part of the appeal is the characters. they're so... I can totally empathize with each of them. *sigh* I am addicted, and it's so sad. what kind of person am I: sex and the city and BSG...
