[WHY SETL] 1:27 PM

While I was driving home last night I stopped behind a car with the license plate WHY SETL, which I can only assume means WHY SETTLE?

I think this license plate is very good, and conveys a positive life message, however I don't think it should be attached to a Mazda hatchback from the 80's.

If you can't settle for a standard license plate, then why are you settling for a car that goes 0 to 60 in five minutes?

Would have been funnier if it read "Why shtetl?"

Maybe it was a lawyer's car, advising people to not settle their lawsuits out of court, but instead to hire him to take on their case. :-)

If my lawyer drove a car from the 80's, I wouldn't be very optimistic about the outcome of my case.

Maybe the driver is giving us a cautionary tale. Maybe he/she settled (the 80's car, the shotgun marriage, etc.) and wants to warn the rest of us. Maybe the Mazda is meant to scare us into motivation. Or maybe I'm reaching... :)

OR maybe he just stole the plates off the car of some standoffish, snobby, and emotionally disconnected bitch from the flats to place on the piece of crap he hotwired in El Segundo for a joyride into L.A. :-D
