[trailer roundup] 5:40 AM

Yours, Mine & Ours I suppose comedies about large and intigrated families never fail, but they're really starting to look by-the-numbers...

The Thing About My Folks This movie doesn't deserve the amazing key art that accompanies it.

An Unfinished Life J.Lo, Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman on a ranch? Lasse Hallstrom has yet to steer me wrong, let's just hope he's not drunk driving with this...

Proof Were it not for the prominent prescence of Jake, I'd say this film was made in 2000. But that's okay, I liked a lot of movies in 2000.

Prime I'm unexpectedly very interested in seeing this. Greenberg's work on HBO's Unscripted makes me kind of hate him, but I'll lie to myself (just like I did when I "missed" Matt and Ben's Oscar kiss)

Little Manhattan Watch this trailer completely, then try to tell me this wasn't a gay romantic comedy that was suddenly turned into a story about 11 year olds. I dare you.

Rumor Has It A new Rob Reiner Film? Kevin Costner appearing in another seemingly charming family dramedy? Jennifer Aniston and Mark Ruffalo? Are simple fun movies actually being made again? Could it be?

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Okay, so it's not the new trailer, but rather a clip of the new trailer from Extra. Beggers can't be choosers, but this thing is looking great.

Jarhead This lameass trailer (and matching lameass poster) do nothing to encourage me to see the final edit of this mess of film.

Stay There's something delightful about seeing people with accents (espeically Ewan) unhinged.

Domino I saw the teaser for this and didn't care. I had dinner with one of the producers in San Diego and didn't care. And I just watched this final trailer, and still don't care. I want to, but it's just not doing it for me.

Lord of War I love Gattaca and want Andrew Niccol to do more amazing things. Instead I get S1M0NE and a Nicholas Cage gun-running vehicle.

A Good Woman I don't buy Helen Hunt as a seductress for a second.

Walk the Line I don't know if it shouts "Oscar!" but it sure scream "Golden Globe" loud and clear.

Dear Wendy You came out of nowhere, like most strange loves. Oddly anticipated.

The Prize Winner of Defiance, OH I really hope this isn't Julianne Moore's Legend of Bagger Vance.

Nanny McPhee Like Mary Poppins stuck in a k-hole. Seriously, the strangest thing I've seen in quite a while.

Undiscovered Are these movies getting weirder as my list goes on, or do I just need to get some breakfast?

Shopgirl Yes, please.

Creep An awful trailer for what will probably prove to be a deeply unsettling movie.

Comments

let us not forget the trailer for Jesus is Magic. horribly offensive that it may be, it is good to see that Sarah Silverman is finally being recognized as the genius that she is.

Wow, I'd be surprised if I see more than one or two of those movies. I might not even see any.
