[prom queen] 7:12 AM

The benefit of Netflix, as we've stated before, is getting movies you have only a mild passing interest in. The latest arrival for me is a movie called Prom Queen, a CTV movie-of-the-week about Marc Hall. I saw it at Virgin and made a mental note to add it to my queue and now, weeks later, it arrived.

Reasons PQ makes me smile:
• Aaron Asmore with Blue Hair
• Aaron Ashmore in a tie
• it's Canadian. With Canadian boys.
• Dave Foley!
• It's like DeGrassi:TNG, only Emma and Ellie aren't trying to hog the spotlight
• Canadian boys
• It's actually quite charming
• Pierced Canadian boys
• it's not a coming out disaster or AIDS play
• it's cheese-tastic
• Nerds who mention Atom Egoyan
• Aaron Ashmore with blue hair. And a tie.
• It's the after-school special I never had at 16
• Dude. Seriously. Canadian boys.

Oh man... I saw this movie last year on TV-- you're right-- it IS cheese-tastic and Canadian to the MAX. I think it may have Scott Thompson and another guy from Kids in the Hall in it, too... I forget, though.

The only thing more Canadian than this movie is "The Littlest Hobo"...

Say no more. It has been added to my queue.
