[six days] 8:47 PM

from issue No. 829 of Entertainment Weekly

I burned Peter a copy of BSG's first season, and when I checked to make sure it played okay I got sucked in again. Yesterday, while I drew, I "watched" all 13 episodes.

In 2001, if you wanted to know what the most thought provoking, engrossing, addictive, and smartly written show on TV was, I would have said The West Wing. Ask me those questions in 2005, and I say Battlestar Galactica. Not since the peak of WW's second season has a show tackled politics, religion, and the consequences of war with such grace.

It's really a fucking shame Mary McDonnell has such a slim chance at an Emmy nomiation.

Just got sucked into the marathon on SciFi channel yesterday. Great show.
