[melting down] 10:30 PM

Last night I made the three block walk to Meltdown for Punk to Funk, the new gallery show featuring Jim Mahfood and Dave Crosland. Not only was it good art, but it was good music (hooray for turntables in hidden rooms!) and free beer (thanks to Red Stripe sponsoring the night!)

I found myself in a state of heavy inebriation talking to the owners of the store, and rambling to Hazel, who sets up the gallery shows and mini-comics, and some Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon development executives...it brought back memories of my drunken SPX dealings with Scott Morse and Jeff Smith, but I feel better about last night simply because I remember it.

So now Meltdown has some jpg's of my stuff with the hopes of a gallery show, and when my new batch of mini-comics is done there's a place for you to go and purchase them in person. Fingers crossed.

I've written before that Meltdown pretty much rocks, but if things work out (not just with my stuff, but their plans in general), it'll rock harder than any comic book superium I've ever been to.
