Things I learned from an evening wallowing and watching all 6 hours of PBS' Broadway: The American Musical (thanks to Netflix):

• Wes Craven and Stephen Sondheim were seperated at birth
• Carol Channing is still alive? Thanks, magic potions!
• Julie Andrews has so had work done
• Exactly why was Cats a success?
• Kevin Kline was miscast as Cole Porter in De-Lovely
• There's some really hot choreographers out there
• My desire to work on theatrical sets has increased a smidgen
• Adam Pascal was really hot (Short hair, Adam! Short!)
• My Batman thoughts will have to wait until I see it a second time
• My chief occupational turn-on is still writing, but dancers are a close second
• Jonathan Larson needs a musical about the writing of his musical
• Kristen Chenowith and Aaron Sorkin are probably a perfect fit for each other
• Thanks to late night TimeLIfe infomercials, I know at least one song from every play showcased
• Joel Grey is probably a very nice man, but never ceases to creep me out
• If they wait too long to make a Wicked movie and Idina can't play Elphaba, I vote for Christina Aguilera. Seriously.
• Watching Jerry Orbach sing is a lot different than just hearing him sing
• Sweeney Todd is probably still awful, it wasn't just that one production I saw
• My excitement to see Wicked on July 3rd cannot be containted. I even went on-line and found out where exactly my seat is in the Pantages. I am in need of a live-action spectacle.

Yes! Joel Grey is one of the most creepy people EVER. I don't know exactly what it is, but daaamn, he just puts me on edge. Good actor/singer though... I'll give him that much.
