June 7, 2005[golden boys] 1:48 AMYesterday I attended what I hope will be the first of many "Rub My Emmy" parties. To my relative surprise, I really, really enjoyed the party, and was a bit stunned when I walked in and informed someone wanted to talk to me. Some of my art graces the host's walls, and it seems they'd piqued the interest in quite a few people. I always thought it was weird that a print of mine was hung in my friend Chad's bathroom, so you can imagine this was a peculiar new sensation. It was a great party, and yet again for the second time of the weekend I was completely wasted. Friday it was the free Red Stripe, and yesterday it was infused fruit vodka so infused and potent, that it had bleached the strawberries white. The best part of the whole day was making a new friend one who's filling the much needed void of "person to go see teen movies and chick flicks with." Today Peter and I went and saw The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. That's right folks, I do love me some chick flicks, and I'm not talking about La Lohan and Duff. I'm currently awaiting the successor to 13 Going on 30, and there's no hope in sight. At least I have someone to go on the cinema candy search with now. (for the record, Pants is what I was expecting Ya-Ya Sisterhoodto be, which means Pants is enjoyable, fun, and at times serious, and makes Ya-Ya a big downer undeserving of the talent attached) |
