Between Alias breaking my heart and reading this about The Inside, I'm kinda over super-duper female leads. Give me a good ensamble or smart people who fuck up more than they succeed — okay, give me that again, since Lost fills that void rather nicely.

TV Rundown:

Desperate Housewives In a transitional phase. It's brought back some of it's menace, the cast keeps growing, and why is Jesse Metcalf still in the opening titles?

Lost Seems most people were right on the money by unofficially retitling episodes 21 and 22 "Treading" and "Water," but last night's 30 second spot for next week (part 1 of the 3 hour finale) has me so excited I can barely contain myself.

Jack & Bobby Last night may have been the series finale, which I guess I'm okay with. They tied things up nicely just in case. If it does come back next year someone needs to seriously talk to Metzler and Berlanti about having Jack lighten up. Seriously, brooding boys are only hot if you get to see them laugh sometimes.

The OC Still entertaining, even if I can't possibly wrap my head around the idea of this no-named superstar "graphic novel company." They don't exist like that people, they just don't. I've been to MoCCA, SPX, and San Diego, and I've met the Top Shelf and Ad House guys, and I assure you, for a crew of nerds to be piloting that show ... what a stretch.

Gilmore Girls The best season since the first.

House Formula-fun television. Thank god Chi McBride is gone.

Smallville I can tell you from watching the trailers alone, I'm not missing much.

CSI How the fuck did I get this sucked into this show? I don't care for Miami or New York, though.

Eyes Why did ABC pull you? AJ Langer, are you cursed?

Deadwood Awaiting season completition to watch. For some reason Six Feet Under and Sex and the City are the only HBO shows I can watch week to week. Anything else and I need a marathon.

Veronica Mars I hated your pilot, but I've been collecting you because everyone raves about you. Now that I have your finale, I can give you another shot.

Amazing Race Thankfully, Good triumped over Evil.

Last night I went to JP's birthday party at Cat and the Fiddle, where Reno911's Dangle and Junior were having a beer together. Both were oddly alluring in person.

"Jack and Bobby" has already been renewed for season 2 by The WB. It was announced back in the winter as the show has become one of the networks biggest hits.
