You can tell I'm reaching a deadline when I post 4 times in one night to break things up...
The funny thing about working with Deadwood on is what you hear. Part of the joy of the show is the writing, the dialogue, making it easy and pleasurable to have it playing regardless if I'm watching it or not. However, my popculture brain can't help be tainting it.
Everytime someone like Timothy Olyphant says "Mrs. Garrett" I think of The Facts of Life, and quite often when diggers talk about "going to the Gem" I think they're one their way to work out.
Then the character of "Miles Anderson" came on and something rang in my head ... a quick trip to IMDB uncovered that Greg Cipes was on screen, and he's also the voice of Beast Boy on Teen Titans. I was beginning to form a crush on him until I saw his photos with Paris and Nicole. Such a waste.
Who could ever dislike taco boy?
