[Old Blossom Cherry Road] 11:24 PM

As much as Drew Z and I agree on things, we often tend to disagree. I was vehemently opposed to Carnivàle after giving the first season a try, but he was adament that season two was better.

So I got them, and watched them. Well, I kind of watched them. I fit 12 hours into 6 (god bless fast-forward). I really, really dislike the pacing of the show, but surprisingly the story really got interesting. And scary. Fucking scary. Watching Ingram, TX and Old Blossom Cherry Road at 3 in the morning is so not a smart idea.

Apparently, I have a thing for dirty and bloody boys. Between Nick Stahl on Carnivàle, Ian Somerhalder on Lost and now Logan Marshall-Green on The OC ... guess I like bad boys. Dirty bad boys.

I'm under a work-related house arrest for the next few days, so I'm having an OC festival. I'd forgotten how much I liked the episode The LA, where Peter Gallagher forewarns the kids to be careful in LA, "that place will steal your soul."

It's true, I've had to erect a security system around mine, and then upgrade it (tin cans on strings were too noisy, now I have a neat system with lasers and motion detectors).

I'm not sure that I would say Season 2 is better... I would certainly say it's faster-paced, and since your chief complaint was that the show was too slowly-paced for you, I thought maybe the second season would be more to your liking, especially since I thought there was too much else to enjoy about this show to let something like that get in the way. (Old Cherry Blossom Road being one of them: dude, she clawed out her OWN EYES!! How fucked up is THAT??!?)

Officially, I can't believe you would fast-forward through a show lovingly-crafted for your enjoyment. Unofficially, I'm glad you watched. I thought the finale was provocative enough to warrant further thought long after I'd finished it, and it's rare these days that a show stays with me that long. Plus, you know... JONESY!! Plus x2, it was a delightful bonding experience for Julio and me, which means it will always have a warm place in my heart. So I'm glad you gave it a shot.

Now let's get to work saving Eyes.

And I'm not even touching your OC thing.

If your boyfriend can still get laid with CHARMED on his Friendster, I can OC all I want :-p

Also, as for the fast-forwarding, it was part pacing, part me wanting see a lot of it. I also didn't care much for the tittie dancing family — they were Presidents of Skipped.

the finale does stick with you for a while...
