[flashback] ^{4:22 PM}

ME: it's really weird to watch The Lost World: Jurassic Park and see Julianne Moore, Richard Schiff and Vince Vaughn there.
ME: A suicidal cake-baking oscar nominee from The Hours, Toby from West Wing, and ... well Vince Vaughn.
ME: i remember being pissed because I had no idea who these people were who were going to be in my second dinosaur movie.
ME: the fact that I had no idea who Sam Neill and Laura Dern were in the first film never crossed my mind.
KEV: lol
KEV: I kind of knew who they were
KEV: I had seen david lynch movies :-P
ME: yeah. as a child. and you turned out just peachy :-p
ME: Jurassic Park was what, sixth grade? seventh? sixth...
KEV: sixth
ME: i think Jurassic Park i think "chlorine"
ME: i think going out to the pool, swimming, then reading (I read the novel three times in one year)
KEV: lol
KEV: what a strange association
KEV: of course, I make that association with The Bell Jar
ME: you know what's also weird? Laura Linney was the lead in Congo.
KEV: I didn't realize that
KEV: it's been like 10 years since I saw it though
ME: with good reason
ME: Crichton books kinda defined my childhood.
ME: a shame his new stuff has been crap.
KEV: yeah
KEV: you have to be pretty high on yourself to write a book about eco-terrorists that tries to debunk global warming
