[a day older] 7:14 PM

Oh, twentyfour, only the beginning.

I had yet another celebratory dinner last night (featuring 3 duplicates from saturday), which was fun. I love my friends.

The joy of friendship, aside from a free meal, brought me a ticket to Wicked at the Pantages this summer, a Batman action figure, microbead pillow and fleece throw, the Collected Bone, Gary Baseman's Dumb Luck a bottle of wine, home Movies on dvd, and gift certificates to The Art Store and Amazon. Using gifted money, I purchased 2 (Sarah Vowell) books and 7 trade paperbacks, as well as a haircut, car wash, and gym membership. I didn't really need presents, but I made out like a bandit regardless, my thanks to all.

Now that giving myself the day off of work is over, it's back to the grindstone, which is turning out to be very very productive...

While I was sitting in the haircutterers chair, I noticed how pale I was. This is unacceptable. I was at Runyon two days ago, and was tan yesterday, and now it's gone. My body absorbs sunlight. Day One: Sunburn. Day Two: Tan. Day Three: Vampire.

Bet you money a star is growing inside me.

Venturing outside during *daylight* hours is usually the key. Or do they have all-night tanning parlors in LA?
