[spoiler free] 3:55 AM

Usually, America gets the shows, then we export them. This allows us some time to gloat, since we finished runs of Buffy before England and Australia, and at times europe can be whole seasons (or "series" for my brit-boys) behind us. Feeling the need to smite us, Sky One is repsonsible for co-producing Battlestar Galactica, and as such they get them first.

Now, as Drew points out, BSG is one of the finest shows currently airing on television. You could feel angry and upset that the UK gets BSG before we do, but then again, this is 2005 and the age of the internets ... so I just go done watching the season finale (airing this friday on SciFi).

Now, I'm not going to spoil anything, because that would be mean. Suffice to say, "holyfuckingshit." So much always happens, it feels like you blink and they're over, and that's a shame.

One thing I cannot resist however, is giving everyone another chance (dare I say a first look?) at Jamie Bamber and his almighty arms. I've cropped the image, and find it to be spoiler-free, but if you're a total puritan, well then click and save after friday.

If, however, you don't mind a tiny bit of inferring and want to see hot man-arms, then here you go:

LUKE: oh lordy (sigh)
ME: so hot
LUKE: maybe we should just call him bam-bam
ME: and so a nickname is born.

enjoy those arms whilst you can: it's about all you get for the whole series!

that's from the season finale, so i'm hopeful it's a sign of things to come in the 20 episode second season (airing this summer!)

Not only do we in the UK get to see BSG first- and it is awesome- but we can also claim the gorgeous Mr Bamber as our own. He does a good American accent, but he's British! Aren't we lucky?? I just hope you guys get to see the new series of DOCTOR WHO too....

I just tried the new WHO last night and absolutely couldn't finish watching it.

When I was in Vancouver one of our waiters was auditioning for BSG :-p
