[la la land] ^{5:38 PM}

I have to admit, local searches on Friendster, MySpace, and Connexion have become a bit boring since moving to LA. I'm not sure how many times I can read Occupation: Actor (or variations such as Actor/Student or Actor/Waiter). I'm tired of seeing headshots as primary photos, and I'm sick of seeing chiseled shirtless torso pics (i know, I thought it would be impossible too).

I have two actors already. Where are the fun bankers? The Biochemists with flair? Can somebody get me Zoologist?

Also, in case I didn't post it, I'll be in Vancouver March 25–28th, and I had lunch with my editor today. Make of that what you will (and don't bother trying to connect the two, they're unrelated).

Say what you want, bitch, we can play biochemists, bankers, baloonists, breakdancers, bird watchers, and bondage queens, and still come home and be exciting at the end of the day. Find me a zoologist who's that flexible. Piss and moan, piss and moan. ;o)

The new term is "Mactor"(Model/Actor). Its been my experience that they feel they're too pretty to study the craft of Acting, and if they stand around long enough, the world will just offer them cash. Its a sad thing to witness. Either that or they go on Reality programs, and eat a bug, which is like a smorgasboard if you live on half-a-Tic-Tac-a-day, and get handed cash-ola. I guest that makes Reality programming welfare for the homely-challenged?
