Looks great!! It transfered quite well. Poor guy looks so unimpressed. Posted by: Jason at February 3, 2005 9:03 AMVery nice dude! Posted by: Chris. at February 3, 2005 9:09 AMThe two pieces you've posted this week have been two of the best I've seen you do. Being out of school is really agreeing with your artwork. This one is especially nice... but I can't help but wondering... are you okay? "my love runs red" looks like a break-up hug to me... or a couple who's gotten some pretty bad news. And now today... well... like I said, beautiful, but worrying. Posted by: Cully at February 3, 2005 11:21 AMIn response to Cully... Those paintings would be evidence of him being okay. Painting can be cathartic, even if it's from a breakup of the past. Any experience translated through color into image is prozac for an artist. Whether the result suppresses any trauma/disdain or further amplifies it, the guarentee is more energy for one to work from. His heavy use of red suggests unrequited love, to me. Stabbed through the chest and the close embrace suggest something more connected then being stabbed in the back, surprised by deceit or betrayal. Posted by: Chris. at February 3, 2005 12:20 PMI thought it suggests that he misses Buffy. Posted by: Christopher at February 3, 2005 2:32 PMKnowing Ky, the Buffy guess is probably a closer bet. ;) Posted by: Jason at February 3, 2005 8:40 PMactually, Buffy never even really crossed my mind ... but someone inches closer to the truth... Posted by: kyle at February 3, 2005 11:21 PMGo for it, Kyle! If want it bad enough, clean up your (kitchen) head and go boy! Posted by: Johan at February 4, 2005 12:25 PMLove the background too Posted by: sky100010 at February 4, 2005 5:26 PMPost A Comment
