[the rainy season (part two)] 9:40 PM

"It never rains in LA."

Except for days on end at the start of every month since I've been here. I'm wanting a tan, and Paul's out doing his best impersonation of Locke from Lost that I've ever seen.

My back is still sore, but being incapacitated aside, I've had a very good weekend. I saw Bride & Prejudice (lower your expections), wandered the streets with Paul, Jimmy and Luke, snagged some music from Amoeba, travled around in the rain, and saw Constantine today with Luke and Jimmy. Lower your expectations, and if you like Hellblazer then be prepared to feel a little raped.

Friday night we missed out on Jon Brion, and instead paul drove benverhausen and I all around LA in the rain. The sky was purple from lightening, and since P's musical taste is essentially my own, we had a marvelous listening experience (a highlight included Garbage's "the Trick is to Keep Breathing" which gave me a massive wave of content nostalgia).

Good weekends are weekends spent with friends.

I was wondering if Tilda Swinton as Archangel Gabriel is worth the price of admission. Should I just wait to rent it? She's the only reason I'm interested.
