I've been looking through your stuff, and I'd definitely say that this style that you just started with is even better than your older stuff. The strong jaws, overall more mature and chiseled muscles, more subtle nose, and lack of a mouth really adds maturity and emotion and just looks awesome! I can't get enough of your drawings with hearts and the wicked paint in the background. keep it up, my man.
