When you're a kid growing up in Texas who loves entertainment, you look forward to November, February, and May. Sweeps. The big-time TV bonanzas.
When you're a kid-thing living in Los Angeles who loves entertainment, you realize that sweeps (and february especially, since it's pilot season too) are actually pretty evil. All of my friends are running around like maniacs, and the general consensus runs along the lines of "see you in march!"
So I sit here and tinker and work, and slowly plan a trip to Vancouver.
Also, to the marvelous folks who've purchased paintings from me recently — I'm going to try to get to the post office tomorrow to ship them out. It seems as though there'll be a break in the MONSOON (we don't want the pretty paintings to get wet — since they're done with water-based paint).
How dare you speak ill of the season that brought us the One Day At a Time Reunion!!! Crack the whip, I say! Faster, slaves, faster! Whuh-chih!
