February 5, 2005[go fanclub, go!] 2:16 PMIn order to view The Killers (lackluster) video for "All These Things That I've Done" I had to join the online fanclub, which is fine. I love their music, Brandon Flowers has a soft spot in my heart, and it was free. My casual interest was rewarded this morning with an email and link to concert tickets on pre-sale starting today at 10am. Saturday, April 16th at the Wiltern I shall be Mister Brightside. It seems as tho my concert karma is finally rewarding me (as in, i'm actually able to attend shows I want to see). Comments
Me likes The Killers, and Brandon has a great voice, but some of the tracks on the album aren't really all that exciting. The guitars on "Smile Like You Mean It" are wonderful, and the poetry of "Somebody Told Me" works well...the last half of the album, it didn't have enough 'pop' to keep my ears in tune. I'm sure the concert will kick ass! I hope I can catch them in SF. Posted by: Chris. at February 5, 2005 7:05 PMthe best: Mr. Brightside i had to do the same thing! the most interesting part of the preview ordering: you can choose the early-bird special concert (at 7 pm) or the kool kids' version (at 11 pm). you can guess which one this old man chose. Posted by: drew at February 5, 2005 9:55 PMDREW T! You should've told me you liked the Killers and we could've formulatededed a PLAN! Posted by: kyle at February 5, 2005 10:15 PMIt's nice to see you boys excited about The Killers, but I'd like to snatch this opportunity to advertise and exalt...that the most holy band New Order is playing Coachella and I HAVE TICKETS. Amen, Jesus. NEW ORDER. Brandon Flowers loves New Order (or at least he better) Posted by: Chris. at February 6, 2005 8:18 AMHe does, indeed, love New Order. The Killers are named after a fake band that New Order pretends to be in one of their videos. Or so I read. New Order are also claiming that Brandon Flowers is mischievously spreading a rumor that NO had to re-record parts of their album because it sounded too Killers-like. The young one has quite an ego already. Also, Brandon Flowers is Mormon. Who would have guessed? Posted by: sleepy kev at February 7, 2005 10:35 AMPost A Comment
