[all that you can't leave behind] 2:11 PM

I have 2 suitcases to pack. One more trip to the post office to send out prints and a poster. And I can't make myself do it.

Last night we had a pajama going-away gathering at John's house where we experimented with Apple Cider Martinis (4 glasses and a drunk me later, he go it), watched choice SNL bits from the last 2 weeks (Woomba! Popcorn!), Napoleon Dynamite and The Amazing Race. I saw Oliver get banished from The OC (thank fucking god), and got to spend lots of great time with Chris, Glenn, John, Jamie, Brian and Jason.

The past few months in DC have been (school stress aside) some of the best moments of my breathing career. I don't think anyone can comprehend the chemistry of the friendships that have been formed. I don't know if I've ever laughed harder, smiled broader, or felt such warmth in my entire life.

I'm trying really hard not to make this a big "moving on after graduation" post or something that they'd give Daniel Stern to read on The Wonder Years. I really am.

I'm ready to go, to move forward. To get a job. To do that whole "next chapter" thing. It's scary (you think about it I've been in school for 18 years), and daunting at times, but I'm going to a place that promises to hug me when I get there. The only thing I'd do differently is take a few people west with me, but I'm sure in time they'll find their way.

The loving L.A. awaits you Kyle. Hug your friends goodbye, smile, cry, but most importantly get ready for a new chapter in your life where you are the one making even bigger choices in life. Welcome. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year Kyle. *hugs* (looking forward to bumping into you and just fainting with happiness)
