Oh Thanksgiving, you marvelous thing, you.

By the time the meal was ready we'd already eaten our collective bodyweight in spinach dip and queso. We were halfway into A Very Muppet Christmas Movie on NBC, and fallen fully in love with Meg's new baby-pug Ollie.

Dinner was great (partly because I didn't touch anything in the kitchen), and soon we'd all eaten so much that we passed out while watching The King of the Hill marathon on fX. After a round of napping and more drinking (Kettle One + Cran-Grape Juice = Heaven) we made our way across the street to see The Incredibles. This was my seventh time to watch the film in its entirety, Kev and Andrew's second, and Meg'n'Stanza were virgins. Still amazing.

After a fast and loose round of cake and Trivial Pursuit (I believe in clues, I don't see why anyone has a problem with this — wit and satirical suggestion is part of the fun) we made our way back home where John made a holiday extraction and whisked Kev and I to Blowoff.

Blowoff is Bob Mould and Richard Morel's bear-night at the 9:30 Club, and while I'm not un-fond of bears, I'm not terribly partial to them either. Part of the fun of going (besides some good music) is the invisibilty factor one face gets when you're a twenty-something boy in a thirth/forty/fifty something world of GRRR.

The highlights of the evening included:
- Seeing a 40 year old man, who I dubbed "The English Professor" bouncing around as if he were on strings
- Seeing an odd combination of Bono and Phil Collins yell at lesbian who could have easily kicked his ass
- Trying to determine if Morel and Mould were a couple, who would be what position, and if their thanksgiving dinner would involve fine china or barbaric manhandling of drumsticks
- Talking to, and scaring away Richard Morel (this is where Kev tells me I need to be sure to write down that he left a "Morel-shaped cloud" after the "twink assault")
- Seeing Brian once again devolve into a ass-shaking pixie
- Feeling completely invisible in a room full of cruising men
- Running into approximately a third of the DC Rugby team. At Bear night. Who knew?
- Seeing Dancing David once again bound about defying gravity
- Choreographed pelvic thrusting by John, Kev and Myself to Eric Prydz "Call on Me"
- Once again knowing the joy of hearing "What You Waiting For?" on loud club speakers
